About the project

The project is part of the government’s collaboration program “Next generation travel and transport” and is partly funded by Vinnova through Drive Sweden. Keolis is the operator of the service and the project is led by the research institute RISE. The purpose has been to test how self-driving shuttles can improve accessibility, allow increased densification of the city, and reduce the need for central parking spaces. Partners in the project are Västtrafik, Keolis, RISE, Gothenburg City Parking, Chalmers, Ericsson, Härryda municipality and Johanneberg Science Park.
