The S3 pilot with self-driving shuttles are soon going to hit the end. June 24 will be the last day for the S3 shuttles that runs between Regnbågsgatan and Hugo Hammars kaj. We would like to say thank you to all of you that have tried our shuttles and hope you had a good time with them.
Since the pilot started on January 18, we have been driven for around 6 000 km. Despite the pandemic and the fact that very few people appeared at the area, we have been able to carry around 1 200 passengers. The shuttles are integrated with Västtrafik’s system and connected to Ericsson’s 5G network, which enables future applications such as control tower for autonomous vehicles.
Take your last chance to try the shuttles (if you have not done it already!)
Shared Shuttles Services S3 has test-driven three different routes with self-driving shuttles since 2017, the first route at Johanneberg and the latter two at Lindholmen in Gothenburg.
Have you had time to test the self-driving shuttle bus on Lindholmen?
In that case, feel free to share your experience by answering a simple card questionnaire. We promise it will only take a few minutes!
